Come join our open house! This event is for anyone wanting to see what Troop 17 is all about, especially Webelos who are thinking about joining Boy Scouts. We will have our BSA-famous dough-rings, which won us the Camp Shenandoah cooking contest, and a cool pioneering project, as well as a display on our rocket project for the NASA Student Launch! This event is on Tuesday, December 7, 7:00-8:15 P.M. at the Church of the Incarnation, 1465 Incarnation Dr, Charlottesville, VA, 22901.
Boy Scout Troop 17 offers an adventure-based program rooted in the traditions of the Boy Scouts of America that encourages effective character, leadership, citizenship, and fitness development. As a boy-led troop, we always seek to have fun while guiding young men along their path to Eagle.
Activities include camping, backpacking, climbing, boating, biking, high adventure, STEM, and community service. We place special emphasis on mentoring new Scouts. Troop meetings are held Tuesdays at 7:00pm in the Parish Activities Center at Church of the Incarnation, 1465 Incarnation Drive, Charlottesville, VA.
COVID UPDATE During the COVID pandemic, our troop activity continues online. Please contact us for meeting details if you’d like to learn more about us.
